Join us on this enriching workshop led by Producer Dami from Elysium Pictures.

Writer's Perspective: Grasp crucial considerations for writers when entering a collaborative partnership with a producer. Explore the unique dynamics and expectations to set the stage for a harmonious creative journey.

Expectations Unveiled: Gain insights into what writers can expect from their relationship with a producer and how to navigate potential challenges.

Optimising Collaboration: Learn strategies to make the producer-writer relationship the best it can be.

Producer's Contribution: What is a Producer expected to bring to the table? Grasp the multifaceted role a producer plays in elevating the overall quality of a project.

  • Dami Adeyeye is an indie film Producer, having produced two BFI NETWORK-funded short films (SPIN) and AN EIGHTH OF HIM

    With screenings at various international film festivals such as Palm Springs ShortFest, Inside Out 2LGBTQ+ Film Festival, Leeds International, and Slamdance.

    He began his filmmaking journey by producing and directing a feature documentary, A DARK MIND. The film has been screened multiple times including the Southbank Centre, Royal College of Psychiatrists, to the national MIND team, as well as at several businesses, to support and increase awareness of workplace wellbeing.

    If you can't attend the event on the day. We’ve got you covered. This workshop will be recorded and available for you always.

    CAPACITY
    We have a limited number of concession tickets available on a first-come-first-serve basis. If you identify as working class, are currently on benefits, or if you consider yourself to be financially disadvantaged in a way that is hindering your progression in your career, these tickets are available to you.

    WHERE DOES THE MONEY GO?
    Underscore Studios is unfunded and comprised of three volunteers. We believe that upskilling yourself should be affordable, engaging, and transparent. The money towards Workshops such as these means that we can keep them as low as they are, pay our Freelance Workshop leaders, support the organisation to be sustainable, and when we can, make more of our services available for Free.

    We are aware that even the cost of a concession ticket may be a key barrier for many people.
